My Look:

From chocolate to going green and from GREASE TO PEACE, this devotional inspires with scripture and laughter in equal parts.

In conversational style, Debora Coty will guide you through redefining your priorities, reducing stress, changing your reaction to challenging situations or people, and strengthening your trust in God’s plan while teaching simple techniques to build a better relationship with Him. She laces scripture throughout the chapters for reflection, and her thoughtful questions, at the end of each chapter, will show the areas of your life that may need tweaking.  She uses situations from her own life and others that show the teachings and the lessons learned with strategic quotes to ponder.

This book is an invaluable tool that encompasses all stages of a woman’s life, from childbearing to menopause.

My Take:

I recommend Debora Coty’s TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED: INSPIRATION FOR CLIMBING OUT OF LIFE’S STRESS-POOL!  Her style hooked me from page one and never let me go.  All while laughing, I received encouragement and inspiration to learn and grow.

I will reread this book often to find another gem of knowledge, to mediate, or to have a good laugh, and so will you.

In addition, you’ll want to check out Debora Coty’s other devotional, EVERYDAY HOPE (Barbour Books 2009).  And I’m sure you and I will look forward to her upcoming devotional, MORE BEAUTY LESS BEAST: TRANSFORMING YOUR INNER OGRE from Barbour Books in March 2012.
