My Look:
CRAFTS FOR EVERY SEASON is for novice crafters.
This book opens with spring, from crafting door stops to flower boxes with some pillows thrown in for measure.
The new moms aren’t forgotten, with baby slings and bibs for happy babies and stylish moms.
Moving into summer, the crafts graduate to bold beach bags, aprons, and summer holiday decorations. Paper crafts include paper dolls and ideas for the vintage book collection, and the kids can be entertained with colorful bubbles and tepees.
When the sun sets on summer and fall blossoms, Kelly Doust’s crafts move into the kitchen with retro aprons, oven mitts, and tea towels. As we wander closer to hibernation and winter approaches, we’re staying indoors more; the creative crafters will find hot water bottle covers, bookmarks, mittens, scarfs, and fabric and paper card ideas.
My Take:
Kelly Doust’s CRAFTS FOR EVERY SEASON provide ideas, patterns, and instructions for new and experienced crafters; these projects are doable, enjoyable, and easy to complete. However, a good part of these crafts are sewing based, many with a sewing machine and some by hand. If you’re not a sewer, this book may just get you to try.
